While fighting poor handling cars in previous visits to Stafford, Salemi hoped his new team would fare better in 2006. After a strong first race, John has been the victim of bad luck and an accident in the two previous races of the 2006 season. With a shorter schedule this season, there isn’t much room for error. Rochester, NH (8/20/06) In a season that has been full of ups and downs for second year BES driver John Salemi, top ten finishes have been tough to come by for the Nashua, NH driver. John has found himself in the wrong place at the wrong time far too many times this season, heading into one of the toughest short tracks in the northeast. This time the wrecks weren’t a problem for Salemi, but a flat tire on a restart with three laps to go ruined a potential top ten finish. more...
Rochester, NH(10/1/06) John Salemi wrapped up his 2006 Busch East Series season at Lime Rock on Saturday with a disappointing 24th place finish. After running in the top 5 in the first half of the event, a broken transmission ruined a career-best run for the Nashua, NH driver. John was able to crack the top 5 with a three wide pass on the front straightaway going into turn one. Rochester, NH (9/17/06) NASCAR Busch East Series driver John Salemi returned to the New Hampshire International Speedway on Saturday hoping to have a strong run and help lock-in his spot in the Toyota All-Star Showdown in October. The New Hampshire 125 was an ugly race from the start, with 11 caution flags totaling 73 laps. With the lack of green flag racing, John was forced to salvage what he could and brought the #15 Waste Management/BG Environmental /Dennis Ciotti Racing Products Chevrolet home in the 22nd position after the call was made to shorten the race by 21 laps. more...
Rochester, NH (9/23/06) BES driver John Salemi entered the last oval race of the 2006 season in a tight points battle and in need of another good run. With only two races remaining in the season, John continued towards his goal of a Toyota All-Star Showdown invitation. The series moved to the one mile speedway in front of the Nextel Cup and Busch Series teams on Friday afternoon for 150 laps. The race would play a large role in determining the final points standings and Salemi made the most out of the race with a fourteenth place run. more

Lakeville, CT - The driver of the #63 Pontiac started the Burnham Hydronics 150 presented by Mohegan Sun from the 20th position, without really knowing what to expect from his grand prix. Once again, Salemi was able to make the best of his situation and bring the car home in 12th position.Salemi currently sits 13th in a very tight points battle, as the series heads to the season finale next weekend. more...

John and team were excited to be in Southern California and had high hopes for the race.
