Daddy’s Hot Sauce to Sponsor BES driver John Salemi in 2006

Nashua, NH (2/22/06) John Salemi Racing is proud to announce that Daddy’s Hot Sauce will sponsor the team in the 2006 NASCAR Busch East Series season. The Daddy’s logo will appear on the rear quarter panels of the #63 Chevrolet Monte Carlo during the entire season. Driver John Salemi will embark on his sophomore season in the Busch East Series in 2006 and will be looking to build on a solid 2005 rookie season.
Daddy’s Hot Sauce is a product of Daddy’s Food Company in Concord, NH. Founded in 2000 as a homemade recipe, owner Don Mathews has grown his product in each year of its existence.
“I started to mess around in the kitchen in 2000. I was looking for something to spice up our meals, but all the hot sauces we tried were either to hot or just not tasty. After several months, I found the recipe for Daddy's Table Sauce With a Touch of Heat” The sauce was an instant hit with friends and family. Don began to develop a business plan for the future.
“In August of 2001, I had my first order by the same distributor that helped with my packaging. Sales steadily increased, and in 2004, we added two new products.” A much hotter version of Daddy's Table Sauce and Daddy's Garlic Sauce With a Touch of Heat now offer a variety to customers.
The increased marketing efforts in 2006 for Daddy’s indicate a strong push in the hot sauce market for the New Hampshire owner. Currently, Daddy’s Sauces are carried in more than 100 stores throughout New England. In early 2006, Don struck a deal with Millbrook Distribution Services, selling to over 10,000 stores in 45 states. Also in the past few weeks, Daddy’s has been added to the hot sauce category in 115 Shaw’s Supermarkets, where all three varieties will be appearing on the shelves in the coming months.
“It has been a lot of hard work, with many long days, but we have been given the chance to compete with the big boys. My goal is to have Daddy's sold in all supermarkets in America. Millbrook Distribution was my first big win and now Shaw’s is an enormous opportunity for Daddy’s. We have made a lot of progress in the past few years and now it is time to take a huge leap forward. I am very happy to be associated with John and the #63 team. This is the best way for me to get the Daddy’s logo out to everyone and I think we will see strong product growth in the next few years.”
“We couldn’t be happier to have Daddy’s on board with us, “ says driver John Salemi.” Don makes a great product and I believe he is on the verge of becoming a major player in the hot sauce business. Once people are familiar with the name, and try the sauce, they will realize that Daddy’s is a premier hot sauce.”
The NASCAR Busch East Series is currently scheduled to kick-off its 2006 season on June 10th at the Greenville-Pickens Speedway in South Carolina. John Salemi racing has been hard at work this winter preparing multiple cars for the upcoming season. For more information on Daddy’s products, please visit their website @ http://www.daddysfood.com
